it is SixPackSpeak.com that gets first mention amongst the MSU message boards. Not bad for a bunch of little gnats, eh Gene? HAHAHAHA....imbecile.

since there's no way in hell that a dude from ivy league territory who's last name has the last four letters "berg" would know **** about Mississippi State (except, of course, that the "rebel" nickname is unfortunate, but they sure did turn out a great QB for the Giants!). WHO was this dude's source? Veasey? Ellis?

Can this be confirmed? Seriously, I didn't mention he was the first AA coach in the SEC. Thankfully, I hope reporting on that has sailed on.

Good article.

after the horrendous six-year stretch that preceded last fall's bowl appearance, a second straight bowl trip would signify another step forward for the Mississippi State program.
Wait. I thought a second straight bowl is not necessarily good enough for the mighty bulldog football program.

High Point: Three good SEC wins. The first was a 19-14 road victory over heavily-favored Auburn on Sept. 15. Croom also topped his alma mater, Alabama, 17-12, in mid-November. It was the second straight win for Croom and Mississippi State over the Tide. Mississippi State won the Egg Bowl, beating Mississippi by 17-14 in the season finale.
How did they forget about the convincing victory over Kentucky? An away game, no less. I, for one, thought that was the highest point of the season (performance-wise).
