Going on vacation there for a while and my wife asked me to look for restaurants.
I've always received good advice from the board.

I live in Beaufort and I’d say Dockside hands down for seafood. There are several restaurants downtown, but my family and I usually go to Hearth for good wood-fired pizza and Lowcountry Produce for brunch. There’s also Plums, Saltus for a much nicer and more formal dinner, and Q on Bay for more BBQ, sandwiches, and wing type food. If you go the other direction toward Fripp you’ll run into Johnson Creek Tavern and the Shrimp Shack for a good shrimp burger.

I forgot a couple. Also downtown Paninis has good Italian food while Wren and Old Bull Tavern are also good options if you’re looking for something a little more formal.

I would still say Lowcountry Produce first for good breakfast food. First Watch is also good but a little further into town if you’re staying out on St. Helena.

none of the places mentioned so far are in St. Helena except for Johnson Creek Tavern and Shrimp Shack.
In St. Helena, try Seaside Bar & Grill, Foolish Frog and Johnson Creek... all good for seafood and nice dinner options! For burgers or breakfast, Beedos is the best on the island. If you want to drive into Beaufort, all the other places listed in this thread are good.

Second Johnson Creek. Doesn't look like much, but damn good food.
For downtown, I love Plum's. Especially sitting out back looking at the water.

2nd Beedos, Foolish Frog. We enjoy going to Brody’s Bar and Grill on Lady’s Island. Dont skip on Parker’s Gas station in st Helena for lunch, pretty good country cooking-pork chops, fried liver, catfish. My favorite place is either Old Bull in downtown or Fish Camp in Port Royal.
