30.5 per game average for the season.what do they average?
They shoot around 30/game, which is top 10 in the country.what do they average?
They average 30.5 three-point attempts per game and 9.9 makes per game. That’s only 32.5%, which is like 230 something in the country.what do they average?
Wrightsell tore his Achilles and is out for the season so I’m only a little worried about him***Sears, Holloway, and Wrightsell are the three we need to defend on the perimeter.
Makes you wonder why they aren’t going after even more high percentage looks. They shoot around 30/game, which is top 10 in the country.
That's 47.5% of their shots being threes, which is top 25.
They are shooting 32.5%, 249th in the country.
Teams attempt about 42% of their shots from three against us, which is 274th.
Teams shoot 34.4% against us which is 236th.
Hard to attribute their shooting struggles to shot selection but as I type that I guess you are referring to the decision to shoot that many threes instead of working for more short twos. Shot selection to me usually means either a shot taken too early in the shot clock (which they don't care about at all) or one that's forced up while being somewhat closely guarded.Makes you wonder why they aren’t going after even more high percentage looks.
They are currently shooting 61% - as a team - from inside the arc. That’s absurdly good. That and pace of play is why they average 90 points per game. 1.21 PPS inside the arc.
3 point % is 32.5%. Not good at all, but they still lead the league in 3PA per game….somewhat due to pace of play, but also crappy shot selection. 0.98 PPS on 3’s. They’d need to shoot 40.5% from 3 point range, as an entire team, for them to be able to justify taking as many 3PA as 2PA. It’s weird to say about a team that scores 90 a game, but they aren’t terribly efficient offensively right now, compared to what they could be. I’d zone the hell out of them on every possession that isn’t transition.
I wonder how their high percentage inside the arc is attributed to the unpredictable caroms from 3 so when they do get the rebound the defense isn’t in position to guard a put back.Makes you wonder why they aren’t going after even more high percentage looks.

Old Temple Match up zone would be interesting for some possessions if we had it in the bag.Makes you wonder why they aren’t going after even more high percentage looks.
