Ok, so the game tonight is only available on ESPN+, way to market your sport when fringe fans can only watch by paying for a subscription? What a joke!

Relegated to 105.9 The X radio station out of Pittsburgh. The IHeart radio app carries the station for those who don't want to sit in their car in the garage with it running. First period just ended.

Only problem with Pens streak is that in a sport where the regular season has so little meaning, they seem to be having peak success months upon months early.

I know it isn’t the Pens MO to give a roster spot to someone designated as the team “muscle”. However, they need someone to even the playing field when other teams take cheap shots at the Pens top offensive players. The Rangers did it multiple times in the playoff series and ultimately it probably cost the Pens the series. I was sorry to see Reeves be dealt a few years ago. He would have helped in that department.

Pens re-sign Malkin at $6.1MM cap hit for 4 years.

That makes Rust, Rakell, Malkin, and Letang all re-signed, and pretty much everyone took less to do so.

Malkin, Crosby, and Malkin are the only trio to play 16 (and counting) years together. Malkin's durability may be questionable, but I'm glad he re-signed, I hated watching guys like Franco put on a different jersey.

Not great choices for the Pens. Sign Geno or overpay in free agency for a second line center. Both options have significant risks.
