Pens seem to play well against the ML's.
I'm not looking to too much out of the Pens this season, although as Crosby continues to round into shape they should at least be a little more exciting to watch.
Good thing they were able to get Carter last season. He's a gem....
Incorrect. The Bruins are in the final playoff spot. The Metro has a number of really good teams this year. Pens are currently in the final playoff spot. they cant have any lapses and Gino needs to play within the system for them to have a legit shot to make a run into the playoffs. I think they are a good team, how good is yet to be determined.
Agreed, no biggie. I will point out however, that playoff spots are not determined by division, they are determined by conference.Boston is not in the Metro. I was referring to the Metro….no biggie..
Hey Glov, the Cryiers, I mean Flyers, are pretty bad this season and about out of the playoffs already, getting blown out again today. Surely they'll be sellers at the trade deadline.Pens up on the Maple Loafs 2 - 0 after 1 period tonight!
Let's go Pens!

Wonder if there is any possibility they would want to help out their old friends the Pens?? Do they have any players that could help bring another Cup to Pittsburgh??
Another very nice comeback by the Pens yesterday.Pens win again!
5 in a row and 16 - 18 !!!

Even during stretches of games where their defense falls asleep, Jarry almost always bails them out. Just hope they don't burn out Jarry. Might be better to send Smith down an let the young guy (when he's healthy) back up Jarry.
Crosby scores #500 against the Flyers!
Pens win game in OT; came from 4 - 2 down to win 5 - 4!!
The Flyers truly are a skating example of "the land of misfit toys" ....a GM & a coach need to agree on a system & style of hockey they want to play ( north / south vs East / West ) and then assemble the players that can play that system & styleHey Glov, the Cryiers, I mean Flyers, are pretty bad this season and about out of the playoffs already, getting blown out again today. Then, starting in net, find a great goalie - the Flyers have one in Hart
Two really top defensemen - not one top 50 defenseman according to NHL.com plays fir the Flyers
A couple of top 150 forwards - 3 is preferable and common on most Stanley Cup conference final bound ( top 4 teams) - Giroux ??? Old but cagey, Couturier???talented but gives a rather lackluster effort 1/2 of his games, not much after those 2...Hayes in a pinch???
The Flyers top 2 lines of forwards and defensemen would be 3rd and 4th line players on most teams
So unless you feel Carter Hart is available, the Flyers 3rd and 4th line players are so non descript it's unlikely
Giroux would be a great power play addition but he and Crosby don't like each other - tough to see who on the Flyers would be a good add for the Pens
He is, but at 21 and "only" $5M a year and on a long term - 6 year contract - I can't see the Flyers trading himI think Farabee is a pretty good looking young player with a lot of upside.
He is a north / south, very good skater on an east / west, play along the boards, try to slow the game down team - he doesn't fit the Flyers, but supposedly Fletcher wants more like him on the FlyersI think Farabee is a pretty good looking young player with a lot of upside.
Who's going to be first to post something complimentary about MAF?
