As a VCU alum still living in Richmond, I'd love to see the Gamecocks bring the bug spray and exterminate the insects in that one!
Thankfully, Coppin State is a longshot to make the tournament this year, having finished the regular season with a 2-26 record.
If they were in the Big Ten, they'd be considered a bubble team and have a NET ranking higher than ours.
Why don't we wait till after the Conference tourneys have been settled, and then we can start to worry about who and where we will be playing.

March Madness is "what if?" season. And, anyway, anyone who's been a Gamecock fan for at least 10 minutes can immediately understand the inherent humor of us being projected to play Richmond in the first round of the NCAAT, even if that matchup is unlikely to happen. Apparently, Harvard has been a Gamecock fan for less than 10 minutes.

Why do I get this feeling that no matter how many games we win in the SEC tournament we end up a 5 seed?
Has South Carolina ever played Kansas? I would like South Carolina have a go against Jawhawks with South Carolina winning. It would be right up there like beating Duke in 2017.
Yes... I went to the Kansas game when they beat the crap out of us.

We played them when Odom was coach. Early 2000s. Kansas won easily, but it wasn't an embarrassment, if I recall.

I worked in Asia from January 2003 through January 2015 so it was rare to see any South Carolina Basketball games in TV with the exception of their NIT runs. I am better at visual learning and I guess I remember more by watching the games. I have a fuzzy memory of the South Carolina basketball the years I was in Asia.
Now with streaming with Hulu or whatever platform you can watch South Carolina sports more places around the earth. The first football season that I can remember was the 1977 season in which South Carolina only had two football games televised. The East Carolina game at the Clemson game. The following two seasons South Carolina had zero televised games. Watching games on television has come a long way since then.
