Why is one state suspending bets for Al? Nothing's been heard from any other regulators.

After reading the article, sounds to me like they should be suspending betting on LSU baseball. Not Alabama. Bama made a comeback. LSU would have had to let them if there’s integrity concerns.

Maybe, just maybe, a team came back and made the score close. Happens everyday everywhere. Don’t get me wrong I would be fine if they both got in trouble, but it was almost like a nothing burger.

And even great college teams are NOTHING like MLB for pitching talent. With pretty good hitters all over college baseball, a couple of pitchers with an off night can lead to very weird scoring. All you have to do is look at mid-week games for examples all over the place.

One sports book has reportedly taken them off the board. Bama was flagged by a Las Vegas sports betting publication.

It’s only a matter of time before we have major points shaving scandal in college athletics. With all the $$$$ involved I’m surprised we haven’t seen one by now.

There have been major points shaving scandals in college athletics before. I do feel like there's less of a chance now that it happens in traditional betting sports like football and basketball (they're all getting paid legitimately now).

However, with sports like baseball (with the arcane 11.7 scholarships for 20-30 players) and much less NIL potential - that's where we could see an explosion in these types of scandals. If there's money flying around the athletic department, and you're one of the ones not getting it, that's where kids will try and even things out (legally or not).

That's worth a WOWSER!
The school announced that athletic director Greg Byrne has "initiated the termination process" for Bohannon for "among other things, violating the standards, duties, and responsibilities expected of University employees."

And the BB Coach Nate Oats says "I know nothing" and did not violate the same policies. (not betting related)

They must have some strong evidence he was involved to fire him, that is pretty wild!

Heath just said a major sports book in Vegas took zero bets on the game, but there was a major wager laid down in Cincinnati, Ohio! Red flag

Bama’s Ace was scratched from that game due to back soreness. They started a pitcher that hadn’t played since March 12th. Coach was linked to the bettor, that placed 2 large bets on this game with that inside information.

I'd be really interested to hear how much was bet in this situation and what they stood to win. I can't imagine alarms going off for a small bet, however, even with a huge bet, I can't imagine it was life-changing enough to risk it.

Listening to the reporter who broke the story on Dusty and Danny Sirius College Sports.Bet in 5 figures....Said almost no bets taken anywhere on college baseball until CWS so large bet immediately raised red flag...Also said that coach was talking to bettor at Cincy Reds stadium where bet was placed.Said authorities were able to see phone and either coaches name or phone number was visable...Big Brother again..
