OK, what's going on here?

Been coming to Gamecock Central since the 90's I guess, which makes me close to 80 I guess. Awhile back, it switches to Rivals. No probs.

Now, it re-directs me to Gamecock Scoop.

I accidentally find this place through a thread on GScoop.

I recognize Chris and Brian and know I found the right place. So, what happened? Why did I continue to re-direct to Gamecock Scoop, and how did GC end up on this new site that I've never heard of?

Anyway, it's good to be home.

Short answer, GC moved to On3 (here). The old site was rebranded as gamecock scoop.

On3 offered a 1$ deal for a year for the insiders content, so a lot of people moved there.

So a lot of the crowd you're used to is split up between boards.

Typing GamecockCentral.com into your browser should direct you here now. If not, please do let us know so we can get that looked at! If you have something with a another address bookmarked (such as southcarolina.rivals.com), that's not us any longer.

Hey @cocean - so sorry that you feel that way and that you aren't enjoying GamecockCentral.com. If there's anything we can do better, please do let us know. Our staff works extremely hard at putting out content, a lot of which is completely free to everyone. The work we do takes a lot of time and costs a lot to provide the coverage, so we do operate a business and some of our content is premium. 10 bucks for an entire first year isn't bad, and the regular rate ($99.99 per year) is about a quarter a day. We recognize not everyone is willing to pay that or even can pay that and can appreciate that, but it does help us to provide the coverage that we do!

If you're not seeing a lot of activity on FGF these days, know that a big reason for that is that a huge group of FGFers gave us a shot and moved over to The Insiders Forum on the premium side back in February (and beyond).

Also, I would like to respectfully disagree that we "want you to pay for everything" because again, we have lots of free content.

This is, for example, the content that we produced just on Wednesday between GamecockCentral and On3. Out of the 18 pieces, just 3 are premium.

So, hopefully you can find some stuff worth your while to read. We certainly work hard on it!

GamecockCentral.com was founded in 1998 by Brian Shoemaker, who's still our owner and my great boss. I've seen what it takes in terms of time, effort, and costs to manage and compensate a full staff, send people on the road to cover events/games in person, and the like.

It's a lot. We wouldn't be able to do it at all without subscribers. We wouldn't be able to publish our wealth of free content without subscribers. Heck, I wouldn't have this job! We're very grateful. And it's awesome that we can provide a site that has in-depth, in-person coverage that includes a mix of free and premium content.

Hopefully, those that have never tried out the premium service will do so.
