I believe Maleek McNeil has left the program. No further details.
Just saw that on line.I believe Maleek McNeil has left the program. No further details.
Play what out, he hasn’t even sniffed the field this year. And this is on a team that has OLine freshmen walk ons getting playing time. Best he get an early start on the transfer portal.why now? why not just play it out??
Yeah, that does seem odd....but then again this is why CJF is on a permanent hot seat.Play what out, he hasn’t even sniffed the field this year. And this is on a team that has OLine freshmen walk ons getting playing time. Best he get an early start on the transfer portal.
Sorry to hear he’s left. Several weeks ago, without being asked, Franklin brought him up as an example of a freshman who had made great strides He said McNeil had lost about 50 pounds in a matter of months to get down to 330. In his film he was quick and athletic for a 6’7” 340 OT. Online prospects are the biggest gambles.why now? why not just play it out??
Maybe it’s his way of softening up the fact his success rate in recruiting is like 45%. He gets a few studs and a few that are okay but over half are McNeilsThese Franklin props to players are becoming the kiss of death. He praises Ford and he quits, and recently McNeil and now he’s gone. Hey Jimmy, please stop complimenting Singleton and Allen.
How does that compare with other coaches? If you're bringing in 25/year on a 5 year cycle, I would think that it's difficult to regularly go above 50%.his success rate in recruiting is like 45%
IDK that maybe a little harsh. I don’t have any stats to back up this comment, but 45% seems to be a reasonable number for recruiting success. Virtually all college teams have freshmen and sophomores playing above juniors and seniors. And then their replaced by more freshmen and sophs the next year. I guess what I’m saying is that if 45% of your recruits turn out to be contributors that’s not horrific, because the other 55% are filled in by recurring classes. One would love every recruit to be successful, but it’s just not possible.Maybe it’s his way of softening up the fact his success rate in recruiting is like 45%. I can’t answer that so I won’t comment on it. It very well might be the sameHow does that compare with other coaches? If you're bringing in 25/year on a 5 year cycle, I would think that it's difficult to regularly go above 50%.
yet you threw it out there as a dig on FranklinI can’t answer that so I won’t comment on it. It very well might be the same
Franklin is responsible for world hunger.yet you threw it out there as a dig on Franklin
Well I don’t deny I have my questions about him. He’s not the greatest game day coach, he’s to loyal to certain players, and all we hear is his niche is how great he is at recruiting. The numbers don’t bear that out honestly. I responded to question about other staffs. I answered it honestly, now you want to comment to me it was a dig. No sir, you see it that way. The numbers don’t lie, sorry you disagreeyet you threw it out there as a dig on Franklin
