Out shot them from the field, hit 8 threes 47%, out rebounded them, out scored their bench, and shut them down on defense. That’s our style of play. And they are a good team. I hope we are back from the slump. Hitting 8 threes isn’t going to happen every game but we will need it against great teams. Different guys still need to step up each game. A & M game puts us solidly in the tournament but a win against the Gators would be nice. Let’s hope we keep playing like we did against Ole Miss.

We have 4 more regular season games to play. The "perceived" two lesser of those 4 - Texas A&M and Mississippi State - are on the road, while the "perceived" greater two - Tennessee and Florida - will be at home, which is fortunate for us because they will have to play in front of a rabid home crowd and in unfamiliar surroundings. But the locations make all four remaining opponents into NET Quad 1 opponents, as neither the Aggies nor the Bulldogs would be rated as so if their games were in Colonial Life Arena. So we will certainly have our hay to make for ourselves to close out the season strongly, the conference tournament notwithstanding......

in the football season years back they use to call the ending of the season the orange crush in which South Carolina would play Tennessee, Florida and clemson almost and maybe sometimes consecutively.

I call the end of the this basketball season the maroon and orange crush.

The one guy for that has been consistent is Murray Boyles he is doing it. Just need the others to keep pitching in with Mack inside /outside threat and Cooper and Wright hitting critical shots.. South Carolina does have the toolsto be a force. If Meechie can get hot in the SEC Tournament then I think South Carolina has a chance to be the winner.

I agree and a good analysis - thanks. This team, most of the time, has great chemistry.

Meechie does need to get out of his slump. For the doubters, the SEC is getting 8 to 9 teams in the Dance. I don’t see us outside the top 7 to 8 worst case. We will lose another conference game or so but so will those chasing us.

Feels like more than a slump at this point. He had a precipitous dropoff after the first 16 or so games of the season. Been in single digits 8 of the last 12 games.
