Mallory Swanson just scored two goals in about 1 minute to put the US up 3-0 on Zambia. Dennis Rodman's daughter had scored earlier.

Meanwhile, Colombia is losing 2-0 to France. Neither Catalina Perez nor Ilana Izquierdo are currently playing. Izquierdo is listed as a substitute, but Perez is not. She suffered an injury earlier this year, so she may not play. She made the trip with the team though.

Looks like Perez is probably out injured. She's their best goalkeeper and she's not on the 18-player roster. Little surprised Izquierdo isn't starting. She started every game of the Gold Cup earlier this year. I'm guessing maybe they had a regular starter not available for that tournament. For her to even be on the roster is a real accomplishment. Colombia is a legitimately decent team. Ranked #22 in the world and went further than the USA did at the World Cup last year.

Maybe. But up 3-0 with the weaker opponent down to 10 players, I expect a boring second half with lots of substitutions and little effort expended by USA. That would be the smart way to play it.
