One improvement I'd like to make to the new HD board,

is making it brick veneered instead of stucco. Every building on campus is made from "old brick" with the exception of a few hideous ones (hunter henry, allen hall, Suttle Hall...) I know the stadium is mostly stucco, but I think the brick would blend better with campus and give the stadium a more unique feel. Also, old brick is more timeless. It is less likely to go out of style in 20 years than say concrete (Allen Hall) or orange bricks (Suttle Hall) or aluminum foil (Hunter Henry)

but they better not use that stupid fake brick like that used at Dudy Noble. That is the cheapest looking crap.

well i think it will be built to match the existing facade of the expansion on the eat side.... i would imagine that further improvements of the stadium will be built to match that... and yes i agree about the rear of the thing... i was really disappointed when they "finished" the screen at DNF with the wiring and stuff visible from the back. It would have been incredible to see a large sign or something back there saying "welcome to MSU", "welcome to DNF", or just the interlocking MS. just something other than the guts of the screen visible for everyone to see. yuck. I dont imagine this one will be as obtrusive though... at least i hope not... by the way... our screen will be larger than Ark's... which just a few short years ago, everyone thought was the most amazing, enormous thing ever. looks like we got some wal mart type money coming in from somewhere too. woohoo

Now when our football team is getting beat we can use the Big screen as a fear factor and ring more cowbell. That **** is going to be so loud and big i'm going to be one of the 40,000 maroon mosquitos staring off into a light bulb instead of the football field.

I just hope it doesn't get dropped on the M Club Building.

Why stop with one picture? Add the picture of the collapsed deck and the trailer in the pond by Bryan.

Yes the M-Club is stucco and the new edition on the east side may not be stucco, but it has a stucco look to it... ie smooth, seemless, tan etc... but my point still remains, I think it would look good in "old" brick.

If I remember the story correctly, the last addition was designed to be brick and at the 11th hour some big donor promised to throw in a large donation if EIFS was used in lieu of brick. the EIFS will fall apart in a few short years so maybe then they will go to brick. The slightly curved facade behind the club level boxes would have looked very nice in the brick that was originaly called for.
