he can't win the big games! I'm beginning to think it want ever happen. #2 in the nation at one time to looking like they could be 2 and done. All I heard in pre-season was this was the best team they have had under Bianco, big underachievers again.

We got shutout by the best pitcher in the country. You can call the super regional loss to Miami a choke job. But today, vs. Texas, and vs. ASU, we just got beat by a better team. That's baseball.

He's very much the Stansbury of baseball. Both are very good coaches that will continually put good products on the field and occasionally have a really good season. However, both are lacking that extra intangible that makes a great coach.

but still the talk was sooo big at the beginning. Bianco does a good job, he at least sells tickets in Oxford anyway. Looks like next year will be a big rebuilding year.

Next year will be a big rebuilding year which is why this year was so disappointing. We lost 3 players off of last year's team, although all three were studs (Kline, Cozart, and Ju. Henry). But we returned 7 position players and our whole pitching staff besdies Kline.

Next year at the minimum we are losing Lynn, Bittle, Satterwhite, Cryer, Basham, Overbeck, Power, Fuller Smith, and possibly Guerrero and Buckvich if anybody gives them anything.

Basham will be drafted high enough to leave? Yes, he is draftable on defense alone, but his hitting needs a lot of work. I'm pretty sure that someone will take a flyer on him, because teams can use catchers that can play defense and handle pitchers.

You will have Pomeranz, Baker, and I think that Bukvich will come back, and Morgan in the BP. Matt Smith looks like a good player, then you have Miller, Ferguson, and I guess Logan Williams at third. Not sure who your catcher will be if Basham leaves. Then your OF will be Jordan Henry, Guerrero- if he comes back, I'm betting his SEC Tournament increased his stock immensely, Jeremy Travis, and Micheal Hubbard, who all played some this year. Then Evan Button probably will be back and can DH or play somewhere else. So, as I see it, your biggest problem will be in the bullpen, and power if Guerrero doesn't come back. I think you will have a solid team, but you do lack the "star quality" of some of the previous seasons. Your outfield looks like it will have some pretty good speed, and your infield looks pretty athletic. I will say that I don't know anything about your recruiting, so you may have some JUCO's or a Fr or two coming in that might contribute here and there that I don't know about.

Yes Basham will get drafted high enough to leave purely based on his defense. For catchers, defense is much better than their bats.

Also, I think Basham is a better hitter than he's shown this year. I think part of the reason he's struggled so much is that he hasn't had a single day off the whole year. That makes it tough on a catcher.
