I was thinking about the whole giving a half scholarship and was wondering, if MSU gives a half schollie and Vandy gives a half, does that mean the recruit would have to pay 1500 to go to MSU or 8000 to go to Vandy? The tuition is what it is correct? And people have pointed out that Vandy being a private university would not benefit from lottery money. So if that is the case wouldn't Ron Polk be full of **** when he is constantly complaining?

I agree with John Cohen, and I paraphrase, it is up to our coach to figure out how to distribute scholarship money and figure out ways to distribute it, as opposed to whine about it.

Tennessee residents can put a few thousand (still a lot less than full tuition) toward any public or private school in the state.

So do we actually have an advantage over other schools that have higher tuition? As I recall MSU is one of the lower tuitions in the SEC.

of the western schools as well, like Stanford, USC, and Cal-Berkley.

Bottom line: the whole lottery thing was just another lame excuse for us not doing well and to try to make Polk look better in front of his croonies. "Look at what he has done without lottery money, we'll never have a coach that can do as well as Polk under these circumstances."
