is that his antics of the past 48 hours have probably done more to unite the MSU family behind John Cohen than could have likely been done any other way. Polk has really alienated himself from the majority of the MSU fanbase and only the hardcore Polk worshippers have even given a feeble attempt to defend him. I believe Cohen now will start out with MUCH more support from the true MSU folks than he ever would have if Polk had disapproved the hiring but remained silent.

Because Ron Polkczynski blew up his relationship with Mississippi State, you're not going to have factions arguing whether Cohen was the right hire or not. Plus, you'll DEFINITELY won't have Polkczynski holding court in his office or luxury box, privately undermining Cohen in order to improve his legacy.</p>
