For as brutal as our opening 5 games were,, the back end of our schedule is about as friendly as you can get. All 7 of the remaining were/are winnable games. Unfortunately, we crapped the bed against Florida., no-showed against Mizzou and made a very average A&M look much better than they are. But we've been given the gift of 4 games to closeout the season at home with 4 extremely winnable games. It's almost like a peace offering from the scheduling gods. Almost nobody has an easier slate to close the season and we get them all at home. If you've watched any of our games this year, you know this team is obviously not a bowl team. Nevertheless, the prospect is still out there for us to land in some sad bowl like the Gasparilla. We entered a stretch of 7 winnable games, needing to only win 4. They are practically trying to gift us a bowl and the final 4 home games is like "here, not even you guys can mess this up."

We never had a shot against Missery, T A&M is better at almost every position and we don't match up well against Kentucky. I hate to disagree with you about the last 7 games, but I agree it is possible (not probable) to win the last 4.

I'm certainly not saying we were better than Missouri or A&M. We obviously were not. But A&M, in particular, isn't that great of a team. Their fans were looking at our game as a must-win for Jimbo, and he played it that way, going for it on 4th down 2x early in the game well on their side of the field. But I think we had to look at them as winnable games if we played well, but we played terribly in both games. As I said, we basically no-showed against Missouri, same as last year.

I also do not think it is likely that we win out to get 6 wins and don't have the UK game as a win. But when you look at the final 7 games, you have to say, if we can't win 4 of those, we have nothing to complain about. I don't see our final 7 games a daunting stretch at all. We are just a bad team.

I actually think we match up better with UK. Leary sucks. They are not a threat to do anything through the air. They're in the middle of a downward spiral, and they get Bama the week before they play us. I said this weeks ago and still stand by it, they're a 6-6 team AT BEST. Watch out for a sneaky road trip to MSU this week.

That end of 1st half meltdown was one of the worst things I've seen in a while. We're better than that. Just inexplicable. That was the difference in the ballgame. I'm still saying we win out.

In the ongoing masochistic existence of a gamecock fan, the next four games are setting up to allow a 6 loss Clemson team to come to Columbia and keep us out of a bowl game and get themselves bowl eligible.
