a lot of stones are being thrown around on this board and I respect everyone's right to do that. I also think those stones are doing some damage, not to individuals, but to this board and Carolina sports. Like I stated in my first post, been there , done that. It took me 50 years to realize that if you can't control the situation, leave it alone, it will only make your life miserable
Now remember guys and gals, this is my opinion, don't be throwing stones at me, they hurt and are disrespectful of my opinion. I come to this board to fulfill a joy I have for South Carolina sports, so far I have not found it on this board(careful now, don't tell me goodbye, this is my opinion). In most situations the 80%-20% rule applies. On this board I feel like I'm in the 20% part of the rule. I want to hear from the 80% part of the rule. I want to get up in the morning, get a cup of coffee, turn on my computer and read some good feel stuff to start my day. Good stuff that I can carry on in a conversation with fellow Gamecocks. Without it, it is hard to carry on a good conversation. The guys and gals that work on this board writes some great articles, but they are never debated. Writers work hard, but never given credit. This is kind interaction I want to see, not the same old stuff over and over. Thanks for letting me voice my opinion.

Good and valid points. I do let my frustrations run over with the baseball team. It has gotten some better as I've hit medicare age .

I like your perspective but it sounds like we would have to have two boards, one Sunshine and Roses and the other Real Life. If we don't address the negative then the assumption is everything is Sunshine and Roses. The other team's boards I've read are just like this one - even programs with winning teams.

You can’t appreciate one without the other. That’s truly what life is all about. Dualities my friend. Here’s some advice… if YOU don’t like what others are saying about a particular subject1. Don’t read it or 2. Don’t comment on it. I should take my own advice sometimes. But I think that’s what gives life to message boards. EVERYONE GETS A CHANCE TO BE HEARD

A big problem is that our athletics are mostly mediocre. If we were in the top 4 in football which we were a decade ago you would see more Gamecock sports talk. If you want to read some feel good stuff to start your day, you should go to the UNC or Duke Boards.

Read Dawn Staley"s own words after beating Creighton. They read and listen to everything on social media, sport boards and newspapers. We either put them up or bring them down.They like there coach, whether we like them or not , that's why some players transfer, when they lose there coach. I remember the time some people did not like Dean Smith, Coach K, Frank McGuire and others. A coach works for thousands of people and has a job review after every game. Imagine if you had to have one on your job every week by the public. I will tell you this, that 20% projectile will get you. I paid my dollar to review this board and it is still in progress. Keep on expressing your opinions, some I like, some I don't. I just like to read positives because I know the players are reading this stuff too.

I don't mind reading an opinion which differs from mine as long as the poster is respectful of all readers. I also try hard to voice my disagreements with the post, not the poster.
