BTN review of Illinois point out that Lovey actually recruited pretty good along the LOS that helped new coach succeed. they also kept a lot of their super seniors and have remained an older team. I think this might have been what let them hang with UMich until the referines intervened to ensure victory.

this year they are no quite as good, but will still be tough on LOS, and could be unbeaten when we arrive. when you have a team like ours led by 5* QB we are supposed to beat these teams. This will be a test of our LOS players. our OL vs their DL and their OL vs our DL. the last time they beat us in SC, we had Clifford trying to play hurt - and they knew he would not run. we were also damaged at DT, and they took advantage with what would be a stupid offense in most games by playing 6-7 OL. they might try this again to test our DL - our our DT's particularly 1-T DTs up to the task of stuffing the run. this may be our first test of winning a game at LOS. on OL we seem a bit unsettled at LG, and not sure what will happen there, but rest of OL seems solid.

They lost a lot of experience all over the place didn’t they? I think I read that they return more All B1G players than another team in the B1G West. Definitely have to be up for this game.

I think this is a payback game. Loss was an embarrassment. Don’t see this being close.

Bielema may look like a big, fat slob, but he’s a decent football coach that knows how to best utilize his strengths against his opponent’s weaknesses. We should be much more athletic and faster. I just hope he doesn’t con us into a manhood proving game played in a phone booth.
