Anyone watching last nights Eagles-Packers game probably saw this. For me, I don't think Adrian Amos had any ill intention for this illegal cut block(which he was flagged for). I think this is little guy vs big guy mentality? I think this may be taught in old school football? Lane Johnson would destroy him going head to head, so dive onto the ground and hope to create a pile or maybe big guy will go around and I, the little guy, can pop up and hopefully make a tackle. Many in twitter land seem to think it was a dirty cheap shot which I don't think it was. Any other opinions?

I also think his intent was simply to clear out a blocker but the video shows why it's considered a penalty. There was a very real possibility of a serious knee injury.

Given all the steroids Johnson has taken, you couldn't possibly hurt him with a hit like this. Little guy vs. Big guy hit.

I believe you are correct about it being taught old school football. He had to do something, next time just dive on the ground , and say 'coach I was trying'!

I just don't like anyone going at knees. Talking about ruining people's careers. I wish they would get rid of chop blocks that the oline can do as well. I know its part of the game but really don't like seeing great players possibly losing a career over someone going at their knees.

It was a dirty play, he's getting NFL old.

BTW never props PSU like others so getting burrowed into the turf especially by an Eagle wouldn't have upset me.

IMHO Just seems like continuing to stipulate what contact is permissible in a very fast moving contact sport isn't going to work well.

I'll take Adrian Amos on my football team anytime. Those guys are difference makers. If we had a majority of others like him we'd beat UM or OSU more than once a decade and then perhaps he'd readily acknowledge where he played college ball.
