A very cursory review of available data (for those who know where to look) reveals some interesting facts about the bridge and offending vehicle.

(1) the bridge was inspected in 2020 and, again in January this year, and was rated as poor and was posted;
(2) posted max load is 21 tons;
(3) the offending vehicle is a multi-axle workover rig titled in Delta Workover, LLC, based out of Vidalia, LA.
(4) a multi-axle workover rig weighs a s h i t-ton greater than the posted weight limit.
(5) Delta Workover, LLC, and its carrier will reimburse OSARC/Wilkinson County for the cost of bridge reconstruction.

They will also have to buy the driver a new pair of pants **

Driver say, "Now that I got a good look at the underside of that bridge, I see why they put that posted weight limit sign at the approach."
