The WR was CLEARLY lined up in the neutral zone and he's mad they threw the flag? He's mad the refs didn't correct a professional WR for lining up in the neutral zone.....what a baby he is. I've never really cared one way or the other, but man did he come off like a spoiled baby last night.

I never thought a team and their fanbase would be more annoying than peak Patriots. I was wrong. There's nothing likeable to me about this Chiefs team. Reid is an overrated egomaniac. Mahomes is a whiner. The Kelces are the worst kind of jock meatheads. And to top it all off, they have the most attention starved pop star of the last 10 years latched onto their necks like a vampire.

Amazing... Mahomes is angry because he says the refs shouldn't make that call with the game on the line.... yet he was more than willing to take a call from the refs with the Super Bowl on the line against the Eagles. He is such a hypocrite....

But they weren't warned first!! 🤷‍♂️

I'm not a rules expert but I feel confident in saying there is nothing in the rule book which requires a warning before a penalty is called. And it wasn't like the WR had his toes in the neutral zone. It was his whole freakin' foot.

It's not the refs job to warn the WR, the WR normally checks with the line judge. This is fundamental WR play. The dude didn't and they got called out on it. Tough shiite, its the game of football. If you don't like the refs enforcing rules they play better and don't let the game be so close.

I am upset about some of the bone headed calls in the Eagles game last nigh but the Eagles played like crap so they deserved to lose that game. The OC/DC are awful compared to what we are used to. They have been awful all season and it is finally catching up to them against the better well coached teams.

pretty shocking. Chiefs have been the beneficiaries of tons of calls. There was a blatant helmet to helmet target when they played the Browns in the playoff that caused a key fumble near the goal line and the refs didn't call it. Their OL often leaves early and the OT is in the backfield. Mahomes knows this. He's making loads of money and has more endorsements than any sports celebrity I've ever seen.

That meltdown means that he is feeling a lot of pressure from someplace. They have a very doable schedule coming down the stretch with the Pats, Raiders, Bengals and Chargers. they are a game ahead of the Broncos who have a similar schedule but also play the Lions. They will certainly make the playoffs and probably win the division. I am not sure why he is so on edge. Life should be great.

I could see him being upset if it were a holding or offensive pass interference. That was not even a judgment call. He should have been mad at his WR.
I didn't have a dog in the fight, and I was livid as his WR. It negated a tremendous, improvised play by his teammates.

I thought for sure that Mahomes was going off on his WR for that play.

Yeah its all good when the call goes way and to be pissed at the Ref for not telling you you are lines up offsides - since when the hell is it their job to do that - Reid was a whiney B&tch about it as well - too funny.

Yes, he was offside, but that is like the wide receiver not being on the line of scrimmage. Often the refs will warn the offensive player. That's what the issue is really. If they are going to call it, then call it consistently and don't ever provide a warning.

I would think a WR could just look at the offensive tackle and line up with him, but in this case, it looks like the left offensive tackle is in the backfield.
In a related subject, KC's offensive tackles are consistently allowed to move early before the snap when they get into pass protection. I have never seen an NFL team be allowed to do this more often than this year's KC Chiefs.

They'll likely give a warning if it's borderline...at some point, it crosses the line to where you have to call it. People can argue if this one could have been let go, but this was about as blatant as you'll ever see from an offensive player outside of a short-yardage bunched formation...he was a good yard ahead of the rest of his teammates on the line.

I've seen a million instances where the wideout glances to the line judge and resets onsides. You see it literally all the time. For whatever reason, Toney did not do this at a critical juncture of the game. I'm curious to see if Toney did this earlier in the game.

This happens with every team, NCAA and NFL both.

This situation wasn’t like the horrific flag they threw on McLaurin last year…

I despise the “the NFL is fixed crowd”.

but…….

Why are Reid, Mahomes, Kelce, and the Chiefs always on the receiving end of lenient calls? It’s like watching peak Golden State out there with all the calls that go in their favor.

I like Andy Reid a lot but I don't think he sees the irony here. How much time and effort did the Eagles put into reaching the Super Bowl?

"We put so much time and effort into it and both physical and mental effort,'' Reid said Monday. "For it to come down to something like that, that ends up being the frustration ... That type of situation is too great for really good football teams playing each other and you're down to a minute and a half or a minute, 50 seconds, all of a sudden, you're right there and have a big play. I think anybody would say that's a little bit frustrating.

"Do we need to line up right? Yeah, we do. We've got to take care of that and not put it in the official's hands.''

Will be telling if fines are levied for criticizing the officials. Or is that not a thing any more?

Who cares Mahones. You aren’t entitled to anything. Go back to your commercials with Jake. Kelce pitching CoVid shots, Barbie hanging out and consoling Ken after the game. Chiefs are easy to dislike. The mistake is on Toney. The real mistake was the Chiefs bringing him on board. The dude is dumb as rocks.

Bottom line Toney made a dumb mental error. Why not owe up to it and move on? It's not like dumb mistakes don't happen.
