OT army worms back in Madison

A couple years ago my backyard was completely eaten by army worms before I knew what had happened. Yesterday I realized that they were back. They have eaten a fair amount of the grass but not as bad as last time. If you have Bermuda grass I would suggest keeping an eye on your grass.

They are all over the Deerfield golf course.
I’ve never seen them this bad.

We got orange striped Oakworms in droves. I got one of the biggest oaks in my hood. Noticed all these odd pellets on my driveway. Looked up and saw them defoliating my tree. Luckily I figured out wasp spray will kick their arse.

From what I've seen, they're worse in Bermuda?

What do i need to do as a preventative?

You can get insecticide at Lowe’s to kill army worms. You’ll need to get a small spray buggy to use behind a lawn mower or 4-wheeler. I just sprayed my 1.5 acre yard in Madison last weekend for Army worms.
I go strong and use 7-8 oz per gal of water.

Armadillos come in my yard every year and clear my yard of them. I quit killing armadillos when I figured out how effective they are at night. Of course I live next to the woods.
