The court ordered that he must be hired back by March 2023. On top of that, the board just agreed to pay a $1.77 million settlement. Boom! I wonder if they think this fight was worth it.

IMO, Church and state do not need to have an adversarial relationship; they should support each other. "Church" does not mean one religion, but all religions. If Hindus want to put up a public display on public property (with proper Permits, etc.) for Dwali, Christians for Chrismas, Jews for Passover, etc. the state should be supportive of those efforts with a significant caveat: no proselytizing.

By all means, make information available for those interested. Even politely ask if interested (which, if not interested, politely reply such), but that's the limit.

I once had a coworker who was of quite a different religious faith community than me, and we used to publically discuss religion all the time. It was obvious to everyone in the workplace that we were merely exchanging information and learning about each others' faith traditions/practices. We got zero pushback as a result.

Good for you. I too used to discuss religion with a coworker. Lots of disagreement but not contentious

This money is for legal fees. He is not rich off of this. Christianity must be public. We are called to pray and share our faith wherever we go.

I'm sure he feels rich having $1.7 million in legal fees wiped away.

Many people have no problem with the sharing as long as it's done in a polite and respectful manner.
