Budweiser is rolling out their new zero carb beer in time for the super bowl. It has zero carbs and is being marketed towards millennials who drink light beers and spiked seltzers. It’s brewed with rice as one of the ingredients, and isn’t alone among light alcoholic beverages which use fermented rice. I imagine there is a huge profit in this and that it becomes easily drinkable because it’s so light, but I prefer beers that taste like beer - Guinness, Sam Adams, etc. But I’m not a 21 year old …. What do you think?

Tell the kids to get off your lawn, and continue to drink what you like. Also, Budweiser has been using rice for over 100 years.

As a Millennial, I love that people still think we're the youngest generation because it was my goal to never grow up. However, the average Millennial is now cresting 30.
I personally like beers you can chew but if you want to be a volume shooter, I guess it's fine. Any Budweiser is garbage to me though.

Yeah....the German purity law -- the The Reinheitsgebot -- specifies four ingredients for beer. Just water, yeast (although yeast was assumed and not specified), hops, and malted barley. Adding anything else will get you banned in Germany.

I like to chew my beer.

Did not see this reply before saying the exact same thing in my post. Cheers Jim!

So do I, but as a diabetic, I've pretty much given up beer. I think I might have had six total beers and ciders in 2021. Never been a Bud fan, but I might give it a try if I come across it. I won't be expecting much. Guinness & Yuengling Porter are two of my all time favorite big brew beers.

Hahaha aren't we posers? I gave up gluten when I married my wife who has Celiac. I USED to love porters and stouts.

Which ones in particular if I may ask?
I rarely drink so when I do I like to have something like a Hazy IPA. Full bodied but slightly sweet and not at all bitter. The Honey Wilder of beers, one might say.

Ring a ding ding
Let’s do the Stegmaier thing

old billboard on 61 above Pottsville many years ago.
Bartels, Gibbons & Stegmaier we’re brewed locally in the Wyoming Valley when I was growing up.
I understood if you could get past the chunks in the beer while drinking you had yourself a quality nickel beer. 👍🏻1643642777910.png

yes, and it's sucked for over 100 years. Bud Lite is by far the best selling beer in America ... which is about the most damning thing I've ever heard about my country
