OT - construction near Baseball Stadium

I drove in downtown Columbia for the first time in a good while and passed Founders Park. I saw where there was construction at the corner of Huger and Blossom. It looks like more apartments. Anyone know what’s going in there?

I get tired of seeing apartments keep going up. Always baffled at how much money people shell out for private student housing.

That reminds me of a recent laugh I had..... moved from Charlotte to way west Hickory. So far west Hickory it's in Burke County, way the heck out in almost the middle of nowhere. Technically it's a Hickory mailing address but it's so far from Hickory proper that the Hickory police don't even come out here. The locals told me our police department is named "Tim" - and "He only works part time." I cannot begin to tell you how much I love that...... true freedom. Anyway, one day I was going to the store and I swear I thought they were building an apartment complex right up the road from me. I was absolutely furious. I pulled in one day to ask the construction crew "Why in the heck are you building an apartment complex way out here...??" -- Short answer: They weren't. It's a mansion. Single family.
