18-year-old identified, wanted in connection with Wesson truck stop murder
COPIAH COUNTY, Miss. (WLBT) - The Copiah County Sheriff’s Office has identified an 18-year-old as the suspect in connection with the carjacking and murder of a man at a Wesson, Mississippi, truck stop.
Tuesday night, Vincent Ratliff, 60, was shot and killed during an armed robbery and carjacking. The suspect fled the scene in the victim’s car with an undisclosed amount of cash and authorities later reviewed video footage from the scene of the alleged suspect.
Thursday, the Copiah County Sheriff’s Office identified Tarayvian Miller, 18, as a suspect. The sheriff’s office says Miller fled the area in a silver or grey Kia Sorento bearing a personalized Hinds County tag that reads “HUEMAES.”
The teen allegedly carjacked another vehicle in the same location on Thursday and fired shots at the vehicle as it fled away from the suspect.
Miller is wanted and is considered armed and dangerous.
The Copiah County Sheriff’s Office is asking that anyone with information on his whereabouts call 601-894-3011.
