I have Temu. I am probably placing too much faith in apple stopping the worst of the abuses, but I also don't have anything particularly sensitive about how I live my life or operate online. Nor does my phone have access to anything sensitive from work except email, so the worst case scenario is that apple lets the TEMU app access my email. The only app I have is Pandora.

Jokes on them, I've never scanned a QR code in my life.Every time you scan a QR code you potentially download malware that can export whatever is on your phone. It can redirect you to phishing sites, etc. A harmless restaurant menu QR code can include trackers. If they want your info safe good luck keeping it private.

The only thing on my phone that really concerns me is a password keeper app. I have so many passwords that there’s no way I could function without it but my whole life is in that single app to the point that the Login and password is in my will.
I try to avoid this by not eating at places that look like they'd have a qr code menu. They have a whole vibe, don't they?Same here. Was at a restaurant in Kentucky back in August and asked for a menu, server said they didn't have them as he pointed to a QR code on the table. Told him I'd prefer a menu and he said again this time very gruffly they didn't have any. Another server walking by told me she would get me one and it magically appeared, and she continued to serve me per my request

But he probably didn't even know who actually bought the pack, since it was arranged through an agent's office in Noxapater.sixpackspeak.com is Chinese owned. DS traded the rights for 2 Hisense U9Ns.

I am the same way and I ain't a boomer.I embrace it.
I was traveling through their crappy meth head impoverished little town for the first and hopefully last time in my life. I didn't want to put their crappy menu on my phone
My kids' schools are obsessed with them. I'm like... "just print out the goddam school supply list and put it on the goddam board and I'll take a picture of it".Jokes on them, I've never scanned a QR code in my life.
I assumed he got banned. Not that I am sad but where is Boomer. He's been MIA way before the election.
Our district uses SnapConnect as 1 of seemingly 18 different ways to send info out.My kids' schools are obsessed with them. I'm like... "just print out the goddam school supply list and put it on the goddam board and I'll take a picture of it".
Honestly, you're right, the QR code in the email or the app is even more frustrating. It's like just because you can use this technology, doesn't mean that you should use this technology. Our district used SnapConnect as 1 of seemingly 18 different ways to send info out.
When they send info on clubs/activities/programs that you need to sign up for, a QR image is included since you need to scan the QR to sign up.
SnapConnect is a overwhelmingly used as an app on a phone, like almost exclusively. So then I have to save the info as a screenshot, go into my pictures, then get the QR to pull up thru the screenshot.
Just embed a link in the message/text/email so I can press it and go to where I want to go!
