My wife was on a flight coming in from Newark which was turned around and sent back. I was up at the airport watching the the local responders trying Their best to get a handle on the situation. Kids leaving for break were out on the road waiting for Ubers, flashing lights everywhere, nobody able to give a clear answer etc. etc.
In Newark it was for the passengers even worse. First the plane was going to rescheduled to take off in 2 hours, then 3 hours, then 4 hours then cancelled. The flight was going to be rescheduled to late this afternoon. no one car rentals, nobody could get their luggage or again any answers quickly. She eventually teamed up with two other women and took Uber from Newark back to State College. She said the driver did a great job driving through the storm.
