OT for my Philly Friends Walt Whitman bridge to be closed

I assume you may know but..
The SS United States is set to become the world’s largest artificial reef in the Gulf of Mexico, but it needs to be moved from its current home in Philadelphia to do that!

So, on Nov. 14, the Walt Whitman and Commodore Barry bridges will be closed as the ship is towed out to sea. https://l.nj.com/7k6o6u

i worked for a small company where the owner had an interest in a company that did artificial reefs. He almost bankrupted the company to keep the other business going. They only had one project -the USS Vandenberg. It was hell going through all the hoops they had to go through to tow it to where it was supposed to go.

They finally were able to tow the USS Vandenberg from Norfolk to Key West and sunk it. and created an artificial reef. By all accounts it is a popular place for divers.
