And therein lies one of the major problems with college football.

Joe Paterno’s house in 2013. Notice the window unit a/c on the wall.

I think I'd probably die of boredom in Oklahoma. What does anyone do for recreation there? other than bomb federal buildings?
They hunt and go to rodeos. I believe they have a few lakes for recreational water exposure.

I just know that when I think of vacation destinations, Oklahoma has never made the list but neither has any other midwestern state. People get hung up on California politics but I could give a rats *** about political partisanship. I've visited California, drove the entire west coast and it was an amazing experience. Don't think I could ever get tired of driving through Sequoia National Forest.

California has a lot of natural beauty to commend it. Of that, there is no question. So did the Garden of Eden, but people found a way to mess up that opportunity also.

They were forced out of the Garden of Eden. They didn't say they didn't like the way it was run and then say they preferred to toil the soil filled with brambles because of Eden's politics.

Well, one of them chose an alternative to the rightful authority. The consequences ensued. As far as we know, the place remained unaffected.

A snake tricked Eve. Kinda like when pols promise one thing and deliver something completely different. CA is a hot mess.

OK is actually a beautiful state. It has a wide range of topography.
I agree with King on CA. Been there many times. It’s almost like three states. North of the Bay Area is quite different and the south is different in many was. Beautiful place however.

Perhaps if you lived there you might care about California politics. Governor is a POS, taxes and gas as high as anywhere, more people moving out than moving in lately. When Bill Maher bitches about regulations, government gridlock, taxes, etc, you know California is in trouble.

I would rather live in a trailer in Oklahoma than a mansion in California.
I lived in Calif for over three years while in the AF and had a lot of fun but I agree with you. Was at Beale AFB about 50M N of Sacramento and Hamilton AFB across bay from Frisco. Didn't like the weather as I enjoy rain and thunderstorms and didn't like the brown grass 9 months of the year BUT that view from that mansion.
The taxes on that house probably amount to more than all South Carolinians pay in one year. Crime, smog, too much PCness, traffic, weather, for me anyway, homeless people everywhere, etc.
