I don't see how we don't make that happen with this last hire. He's an NCAAT machine. He was available and perceived as damaged goods, so we probably could have gotten him.

Allegation: a claim or assertion that someone has done something illegal or wrong, typically one made without proof.
If he did nothing wrong he should have fought back and not resigned. That seems like an admission in my book. If I'm accused of doing something like he was accused of, I'd fight to clear my name. I sure wouldn't step down voluntarily.
The fact he's not on a sideline at another school should tell you all you need to know.

That I completely agree with. We had two other chances to hire him…once when he was at Winthrop and the second was when he was at Wichita State during his unprecedented run. We blew it both times in hiring Horn then Martin.
One hit wonder, albeit a wonderful one hit…I was neutral on Martin staying or going. I don’t miss him though..
In this day and age of the portal there is no excuse why a coach cant get the tools he needs to fill gaps in what he wants to do to be successful within a few short years. As far as I'm concerned anything less than a NCAA appearance at least once every four years is unacceptable. Any player that made a decision to come here out of HS should experience sitting down with his team, watching the selection show and celebrating where they are going... at least once in his time here. To not do so is to miss out on one of the greatest moments in sports and a colossal failure on the part of the university to their student athlete... imo.
