Can you be my friend in Va? I would be happy to split the cost with you.
Woodford Reserve is $35, thereabouts.Makers Mark costs $25.
Then again I just paid like $90 for a Grand Royal pressing of Ill Communication when the CD is practically free so I'm not here to judge.

If you win we will invite you to our tailgate shot clock this fall. You’ll be an honored guest!!
According to Booker Noe (now deceased) who is a descendent of Jim Beam and a former Master Distiller, after 9 years there is no difference in bourbon.I have won Old Rip Van Winkle and Van Winkle 12 yr. in Pa lotteries and they were about $100 each. 12 was superior to the 10 and most distillers indicate that once you get to 15, going beyond doesn’t bring much to the product.
Long story short, everyone’s wallet takes an a$$ beating.I have no idea what you guys are talking about.
Good booze ain’t cheap!!!I have no idea what you guys are talking about.
Hold out for Fairbambit’s Banker’s Club lottery.I have no idea what you guys are talking about.
I'll enter this one as I always do. I won one in the past, a 10-year Rip (not Pappy) for something like $90. If I get the chance to grab one of these, I think one of my sons will get a nice trophy. When I drink bourbon, it's usually Rabbit Hole or Legent.
Have you tried 1792? I drink it straight with a twist of lemon. It’s actually pretty good.Legent has gone up quite a bit since I first posted about it on the old site....was $34.99 in NoVA, now $49.99.
I used to by the 10-year Rip off the shelves for around $50.00 a decade ago.

Not bourbon though. By definition bourbon can only be made in a single use oak barrelI have. Agree, very good for it's price point. I usually go in around $30-$40 a bottle for cocktails and late night neat sips. One of my absolute favorites is Isaac Bowman's Port Finished bourbon; it's around $39.00 in VA and has a sweetness I like for both cocktails and neat drinking. More than holds it's own against category giant Angel's Envy and cheapaer and easier to get.
It says port-barrel finished. Not bourbon though. By definition bourbon can only be made in a single use oak barrel
The resulting spirit can no longer be solely designated as “bourbon” due to this secondary aging; common terms one might see on labels include “bourbon finished in,” “cask finished,” or “double-wood finished.”
