What exactly is suppose to be scary about cities uniting to go green. Secondly what’s wrong with wanting to have a cleaner world?
The unknown/known reason they are doing it is power. They don't give a **** about the environment, it's all a power grab. Oil is renewable itself, fossil fuel is propaganda. If you want a cleaner world them let's move away from the green new deal those people proposed. The process to make those batteries and solar panels is worse than the oil process. We do want a cleaner world. Politicians ain't going to get it done and you want them to tell you how to live.

Power and MONEY!
If they wanted a " cleaner world", China would not be excluded from the mandates forced on us.
All this EV crap is not sustainable nor is it fully powered without fossil fuels and nuclear energy (which used to be the environmental target).
The air in China is dirtier than sh*t and they don't care - neither do the "greenies"! Just want to control people and get rich while doing it.

They have money. They need to keep the power

I actually did mean grift. You have to follow the money behind all this. Money is being minted via 501(c)(3). It’s less complicated to figure out than a Hansel and Gretel bread crumb trail. But that would actually involve taking the time to look and 90% of people will not.

Hope they enjoy their 1 short haul round trip flight every 3 years outlined by C40. But what do I know? What’s wrong with reducing pollution Im asked.

Here’s my thing. I don’t give AF if its blue names or red names. Grift is as old as time. The sooner people accept that the sooner people might understand we do not need “leaders” to tell us what slop to eat up next. Politics are necessary but somewhere between my grandparents time and my time society looks to “experts” to form their opinions.

My grandfather dropped out of school in 5th grade but managed to be part of D Day and raise 3 children who did alright and 6 grandchildren who did okay. People aren’t dumb in general if you just leave them alone. We’re programmed to find truth. Hence all the noise distracting us from what we already know.

The hippies understood this. Tune in, turn on, drop out. Unfortunately their movement got corrupted because there was money to made on its back.

Honestly I get it to some degree. For a while in my life I had a great job with incredible pay as an executive of a multinational company. I was the only one not from some a list school. I just had my measly degree from USC.

I for a couple of years fell into that trap that we somehow were smarter. I forgot where I came from. I got snooty. So I get how it happens. I’m also extremely ashamed and regretful I got caught up in that. I was raised better than that.

But in the end you’re exactly right and life had to take some twists and turns to remind of that. An echo chamber is an echo chamber because your own BS comes back to you. Seems like we have a society built on echo chambers these days.

Politics aside, the United States is one of the cleanest nations in the world with some of the most stringent regulations, yet the "green" finger from other countries ALWAYS implicates us. Why doesn't anyone jump on China and India? Nobody wants to do anything about those countries were pollution is actually a problem. America is CLEAN, by and large. Depending on the ranking you look at, we don't even crack the top 100 most polluted countries in the world, but if the world and US media are to be believed, we are at the disproportionate #1 polluter. It just isn't so.

My point exactly in an earlier post.
The US is the target, but not because we are not already doing our part for a cleaner environment!
China is the dirtiest environment but is exempt from mandates tells you all you need to know.
The goal is control and getting rich while doing it.

If you narrow it down to look at industrialized nations, our standing is even stronger. We are second in the world in manufacturing but near the back of the pack in pollution. It's unreal what our country does to control pollution.

Your statement illustrates your complete ignorance on the subject.
1) CO2 is not a greenhouse gas. The world is CO2 poor we need more. Increased CO2 increases farming yield, greens the planet and reduces water consumption. The one green thing we can do is increased CO2.
2) "Fossil Fuels" are renewable. The term was coined by big oil to indicate scarcity and drive up prices.
3) The green technologies wind mills, solar panels etc are all far worse for the environment.
4) Recycling is bad. Look up recycling is BS. That doesn't even cover plastic recycling which puts millions of tons of micro plastics into the environment that animals and us are eating, drinking and getting stuck in our cells causing health problems. Even the EPA stated recycling was bad for the environment.
5) It is all a ploy to increase control and steal our money.
6) Look up Agenda 2030. The elites want to end car ownership, freedom of movement and private property and force us to life in "15 minute" cities by 2030. You'll own nothing and be happy. The plan to use the "climate emergency" to make it happen.

This is right on the mark.
Those proudly and blindly following the "greenie" mantra need to look behind the curtain of this sham movement and start asking some questions.
#1 on the list - Why is the cleanest industrialized nation the focus of these environmental mandates and the dirtiest industrialized nation is exempted. The answer is not "we can't control what China does" - that's BS!

What can be so wrong with global leaders banning together to force change on citizens? On the surface, who is against clean air and clean water?? Like anything else, you have to look beyond the surface.

Controlling a targeted population under the guise of making the world cleaner and falsifying it as an emergency is scary manipulation of the human mind. The whole Covid scenario is very similar to the "green movement" in how the population was manipulated to achieve control and enrich a certain group of people involved.

We are not ready for it. We have to have IC Engines.
I just read an article a few weeks back discussing many of the unintended consequences of EVs. One on the list is how parking structures will be effected due to how much more EVs weigh. We obviously have not thought this all the way through.

  • For example, the 2023 GMC Hummer EV, a full-size pickup, weighs more than 9,000 pounds, sporting a 2,900-pound battery. In comparison, the 2023 GMC Sierra, also a full-size pickup, weighs less than 6,000 pounds, according to Kelley Blue Book.
  • The average weight of U.S. vehicles has already increased from about 3,400 pounds to 4,300 pounds over the last 30 years as Americans have ditched passenger cars for pickups and SUVs.

I’m all for having a clean environment but until we can simply pick up the trash in our rivers, oceans and roadways the other will never amount to much.

No kidding. I guess the greenies think making us buy oil from Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Iran, etc. means the air will be cleaner. Lol. Those countries give zero damn about pollution. At least we would produce it cleaner.

NSFW LANGUAGE

Here's a good synopsis of why it's so scary. This is Ana Kasparian. She's a leftist commentator on The Young Turks...a leftist media outlet. Apparently she's just learned earlier this year about the absurdity of these mandates that are coming down. Again, this is not a right wing nutjob. This is someone who has spent a considerable amount of time scaring her audience into thinking the world is going to burst into flames if we don't "act now". Sure, you can say she's just complaining about having to pay for something, "there's a cost to saving the planet". I get it. But her last point is the best. The same day Newson announced they're going to outlaw sales of gas vehicles, he also asked residents not to charge their cars b/c their grid couldn't handle it. That's why it's scary. Do a little research on eco-terrorism as well. It will probably make you question Maui a little more.

I've been selling material handling equipment (forklifts) for over 30 years, gas/diesel and electric. I've replaced fleets of gas/diesel forklifts with electric ones powered by Li Ion batteries. Some companies/plants require a lot of infrastructure to handle the power requirements for the charging stations. To think that the United States is ready to "Go Green" is as big of a con as Covid is. We're not ready and won't be in my lifetime.

Right! Just being a well informed citizenry is stupid. I forgot. Normie Norm’s gonna Normie Norm I guess.

"An educated citizenry is a vital requisite for our survival as a free people." Thomas Jefferson
