I know when I did mine, it cost me nothing to originate, I just had to open a checking account with them that they could draft the minimum interest monthly for times that i had a balance. I typically kept some small amount in the checking account to keep it open and then I let it pay on the balance while I paid down principle quarterly. I did mine with Citizen's National Bank out of Meridian because I knew one of their business bankers and it was super easy. I started thinking I'd do it with my then regular bank (BankPlus) and when I inquired they sent me out of the branch with more paperwork than I could carry and I had a relationship with them already. I tossed that paperwork in their outside garbage can and called my friend at CNB.
