love Springsteen! I saw a clip yesterday where Bruce ends up playing Thunder road on the piano. I would like to see the entire interview.

I love Thunder Road. It’s my favorite song. I hate acoustic Thunder Road. Completely takes the passion and life out of the song. Singing, “Well, I got this guitar and I learned how to make it talk” followed by a tinkling piano is just silly.

Seriously though, if you are a Bruce fan you owe it to yourself to check out this interview. Howard and his team worked very hard and were extremely reverent of the man and his music. Howard is the premier celebrity interviewer right now, especially for anyone musically creative. He is asking the questions we want to know about the music we love because he loves it too.

He got 50 minutes with Jagger and made it count. Did great with Neil Young. Sorry to say Robert Plant was kind of a dick, but that's par for the course. Many more great examples recently.

People that haven't heard him in 2 decades probably feel that way still. His fans think he's gone soft now and he has. In terms of long sit down interviews like this with musicians.....he's clearly the best at it and has been for a while. I'm not a Bruce fanatic, but I respect and like quite a few of his tunes. Great interview that could have kept going to be honest.

Lady Gaga was a homerun interview. Her love of all genres and pure ability to really sing was amazing. I was never a Gaga fan, but that opened my eyes up to her. Agree with you on all the others...Bill Joel too.

Yeah the Lady Gaga interview made me respect her. Being a singer in a Zeppelin cover band will do that, along with the thoughtfulness and talent.

Did he ask why Bruce permitted Ticketmaster to sell tickets for his upcoming tour for thousands of dollars each?

For the Bruce fans.....you may want to watch the Roy Orbison "Black and White" show video...at the show Bruce and James Burton(lead guitarist for Elvis Presley from '69 till'77) do a dueling guitar segment during "Pretty Woman". If you do not know James Burton he is a 2001 member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame . Seeing the young Bruce play was fun.

Thanks Chandler,
Comming back from town this morning (15 miles) the radio station was playing a few Roy Orbison hits, loved it. I'll have to dial up show you mentioned

Lady Gaga is an amazing vocalist, with a great voice and great range.

This is like the third or fourth place that has pointed out Howard's interview with Bruce as a must listen, and his latter day interviewing style. Gotta bookmark that youtube...
