Spending over $500 million for a new major campus and Palm Beach Commissioners voted yesterday to go ahead and negotiate an agreement for Vanderbilt to purchase additional county owned land.... With Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and many other banks moving all or some of their trading operations to south Florida Vanderbilt see's the opportunity to fill many of those open jobs for them and the demand for quality recruits coming out of college. Interesting to see how this unfolds going forward....

Some people can't even renovate an existing stadium with that amount of money

PSU has nearly 88K students and fewer than 21K employees (approx 4:1 ratio). The Barrys/Karens say "PSU is bloated!"

Vandy proposes new campus with 1,000 students and 1,346 employees (worse than a 1:1 ratio). The Barrys/Karens say "Why can't PSU do this?!"

Yeah, but Vandy can afford it. Long-term debt is $665mm. PSU's nearly $4bn. For the latest reporting year, Vandy had a surplus of $176mm. PSU? Who knows?

Uh...Tamarind Ave. is not someplace you want to be after dark. Or before dark.
