Love KFC Extra Crispy but the Sweet Tea from Bojangles is in a league of its own. Who you got?

I am a Bo's fan also, but to be fair, I really only ever get Breakfast there. I like the breakfast biscuits and the Bo Rounds. The coffee is also decent.

When my dad was stationed in the South (SC, NC), we used to go to Bojangles for chicken biscuits (this was a rarity back in the early 80's - they're everywhere now). I was delighted to discover Bojangles was in NoVA. I went recently to check them out, and honestly, they've been lapped by KFC and Chic Fil A. Not nearly as good as I remember as a kid. My dad visited recently and thought the same thing, but he did buy some of their seasoning salt for the pantry.

Their breakfast biscuits are great. Haven't gone there in a couple of months as they're not open for indoor dining right now. No way can you eat those biscuits in the car. The one we have in Reading is the only one I've ever seen in PA and I'm damn glad we've had Bojangle's since the 80s. There's a KFC right across the street that does pretty poorly.

If you've ever been to China you'll know that KFC's are everywhere. I just looked it up and as of this past November there are 7,900 stores, which is the most of any country in the world. Whenever I go there the locals always want to take me to one for lunch because that's what they want.

Even after living in NC for the past 30+ years, I still prefer KFC fried chicken to Bojangles, although I really like Bojangles’ Cajun fillet biscuit. When it comes to chicken sandwiches, however, Zaxby’s and Bojangles are tied for #1 with Raising Canes a close third.

In terms of sweet tea, McDonalds is #1, Bojangles is #2, and Zaxby’s is #3. But sweet tea is pretty decent everywhere here. Heck, even Wendy’s has decent sweet tea.

For breakfast biscuits, McDonalds takes first, followed by Bojangles and then Wendy’s.

Not a fan of Chik-fil-A, which is why they don’t make the rankings.

Isn’t Cane’s #1? One is coming to HV. Haven’t eaten there but the “old” board guys seemed to take a shine to Cane’s.

Supposedly they are doing a $1.6 million renovation to the building before they open. They’re going to need to sell a lot of chicken fingers.

According to an application for a building permit, Raising Cane’s intends to perform an estimated $1.6 million in renovations to the 3,967-square-foot first story of the building, which is being leased from State College Downtown Properties.

Cane's is pretty good, but not everyone (like Mrs. KG, for example) likes them. Had a good lunch at Bojangles in TN off 75 on my way to Atlanta for Thanksgiving. I'd go there again.

Always get extra seasoning on the fries.
