My wife and I met in high school. I was a senior and she was a junior. She was, and still is, the prettiest girl I'd ever seen. We had some classes together but I'd never asked her out before I summoned every ounce of courage I had and asked her to the prom. She was obviously surprised, told me she was expecting someone else to ask her, and said, "can I let you know?" I mumbled "sure" and figured at least she didn't say no. About 15 minutes later she came back and accepted. The rest, as they say, is history. We have been married over 50 years.
