OT: Miami player petitions NCAA for 9th year

He was in the 2016 class. The #1 player from that class is in his 5th NFL season.
Dang. He should have his undergrad and masters by now. Maybe he’s trying for his PhD.

Is there a rule against tenured professors playing?
I've heard of professional students before, but this guy is literally getting paid and he'll soon be middle-age. He has redefined not growing up.
If nothing else, he's earned the "Lifetime Achievement Award"!
He started at Oregon, redshirted his first year, then had some playing time the next year, Sophomore year broke his ankle and was out for 3 years, played in all 13 games last year at Oregon, petitioned and received for his 9th year with Pac 12, but then transferred to Miami.

And he will still have been in college just a fraction of the time that Stetson Bennett was at Georgia.
