And I agree with him, or maybe it's just wishful thinking.
When I came in from work last night, my 86 year old neighbor was milling around in his yard, and I think he was just waiting for me to get home. He came over straight away and asked if he could come inside and talk to me. He had a serious look and tone. Not scared, but serious. He then goes into like a half an hour talk...almost a presentation....about why he is convinced a neighbor one street over is a werewolf. Now he is not some rube, nor is he a confused, frail old man. He's still sharp as a tack and is pretty active for a man his age.
The thing is, I think he may be right. I've had separate, similar thoughts about the same neighbor, about him being a werewolf. I normally walk my dog in the AM hours, and several times I've gotten a strange feeling, and heard odd noises going by his trailer. He lives on a cul-de-sac where the street only has four trailers, with a large pond behind his. A couple of weeks ago, around 4AM, as my dog and I are walking around that cul-de-sac, I saw two large, green eyes leering at me from behind a bush on the side of his trailer. The eyes were far too far apart to be a cat, and they were too high off the ground to be anything like a deer or any other animal that would be around where I live. They just kept looking at me, moving around a bit. I also heard what sounded like heavy breathing.
He and his wife appear to be in the 60 - 65 age range, and have lived there for like a year now. I've only talked to him a couple of times for a few minutes while he was in the yard as I walked my dog in the daytime. He just has this presence, this aura, and a gleam in his eyes that is not normal. He was nice enough, but different. There's some other things that have happened in the past year that make my neighbor and I think this as well. The thing is, how do I get him to bite me without killing me? I'd like to be a werewolf, too, but I can't just go up to him and ask him to gnaw on my forearm. Also, I'd be jealous and pout like hell if he did it to my neighbor or someone else.
