Well, that and he was just annoying from the Steelers fan perspective, until you realized it was good natured.

He's from Davie and I've had some good times there. Nice place.

The big D must have hit him hard if $15 mill net worth after >$46 mill in career earnings over 11 seasons . Burn rate had to be higher than cheap jewelry .But he does have a sweet pension on top of that plus future earnings at autograph shows or endorsements easy money . Yeah, except he's lying, at least to some extent. I worked at a rental car place in Cincinnati where he'd rent 10 luxury cars just for his entourage for the weekend (would cost $5kish each time). I was also at an art gallery once where they had $30,000 dolphin sculptures for sale. I was just BSing with the sales guy and asked who possibly spends that much on something like that. His answer? Ocho had bought one just that month. Now, those aren't "huge" purchases at his salary, but they also don't fit with the penny pinching persona he tried to sell there. Also, the fact that I had witnessed two direct examples of entirely wasteful spending by him leads me to believe I didn't just happen to catch him the only two times he did that. I don't mind Chad, but he's mostly FoS all the time.

He’s a harmless goof. Except for that whole beating his wife and parole violations for refusing to attend domestic violence counseling, I’m sure he’s a peach.

I will say that despite thinking he’s invented this narrative (probably to explain why he has to be cheap today by pretending it’s been a choice all along), that everyone I know who has had direct interactions with Chad found him to be a decent guy.
