Has anyone on here ever visited the Stoogeum in Springhouse? Assume it’s still there. One time, I got into a conversation because there were pics of Sally Star along with the Stooges. The curator told me that she was on various episodes playing a beauty that the Stooges fancied in their skits. There was a yearly Stooges convention in Trevose and our gal Sally was a frequent guest since she was one of the last living people who appeared on the show. The other guest who appeared often in Trevose at the convention was Larry’s sister.
Dammit. Thanks.lol, you are right. the picture looked familiar, but I couldn't put a name to it. I really didn't think it was Captain Noah, since he usually wore a cap, and a nautical uniform. But with my drawing a blank on the name, I offered the Captain as a possibility, as I was trying to think of a Philadelphia-based TV personality. (Captain Kangaroo was a national show.) Good catch.
“Quigly Mansion”. Gene London show on Saturday mornings was the best!!!!Gene London was a very nice person. He was a friend of our family and came over to our house from time to time. Each time he came over, he would do a drawing for both me and my sister. My sister probably still has them somewhere.
Left to right ...
Top Row: Chief Halftown, Rex Morgan (I think; not certain)
Middle Row: Gene London, ?? (possibly Captain Noah), Pixanne
Bottom Row: Happy the Clown, Sally
Was Bertie the Bunyip a Philly thing or was that national? Never missed that show on Sunday mornings. Also, anyone remember Pete Boyle?
