After a national search, Penn State’s University’s Board of Trustees appointed a new vice president and general counsel during a special meeting on Aug.
I was the only Trustee to vote "No" on this appointment (There were multiple reasons to vote No, IMO)
There was also one abstention - and a handful of trustees who were not in attendance

I’m soon departing for 6 weeks of holiday and am seeking more reading ideas.

nothing specific, but his general works are really interesting how he diverged from the classical school of criminology. I got my degree in crime analysis from the Princeton of online schools (American Military University.... hoorah deployments!) and the different schools of criminological theory are really interesting. From the rational choice theory (humans are free thinkers and DECIDE to commit crime) to the Lombroso school (atavism) that says people are BORN criminals and can be determined based on physiology, to the positivist school (internal and external factors outside of the individual's control).... it's really interesting stuff.
