I was checking out of a supermarket today in Charleston, SC, when the cashier saw my Penn State polo shirt and gave me a loud "We Are". We spoke and she mentioned that two of her close relatives went to Penn State, humbly adding that one of them played football there. I inquired as to his name, and she replied "Courtney Brown". I mentioned to her that to us old timers Courtney was " Penn State royalty". Of interest to me was that she mentioned that his daughter is presently enrolled at Penn State and that Courtney kept in touch with "Lavar" long after their college and professional careers ended. It never ceases to amaze me how many chance conversations occur when people see me in a Penn State cap or shirt (99% of them good).

You mean Penn State hasn’t earned iowa’s respect on account of wrestling, Success With Honor, and THON? Huh.

🤔

:ROFLMAO: go take a stroll to their wrestling board.... it's Ped U, all PSU students knew, PSU wrestlers are on steroids, the whole state of PA is pedophiles, the list goes on and on... yeah I would say PSU has earned their respect they talk about Cael and PSU all the time :ROFLMAO:

Pretty much the same with the jealous little brother out west. Losers always resort to name calling when they cant back it up on the field or the mat.

Starting April 3 there will be a major display of PSU grads sharing their knowledge with the world....as the Masters Tournament @ The National Golf Club begins. PSU Turf Mgmt. is well represented amongst the grounds crew....even the local schools close for Masters week....as many people volunteer to help. One week when tOSU and PSU alumni chapters join and share dislike for Michigan.

He was as dominant as I have ever seen in College football. Love that guy. Spoke to him once or twice as a younger fella. He’s quite shy.

I know someone that played WR at a smaller school that Penn St pounded when Courtney played. The guy caught a pass not too far from the sideline and got tackled by Courtney. He went to the sideline after the play and said, “He must’ve had an angle on me.” His teammates were like, “No, he just ran you down from behind.” The guy was befuddled on how this huge dude could hve caught him. True story.

One of the things I hate about preseason NFL games is that they seem to be tryouts for novice announcers. In the second half of a Denver game, a large DE ran down a running back on the other side of the field. You could clearly see this huge lineman overtake the back. It was Courtney Brown of course but most viewers wouldn’t know because there was no mention of it. The announcer was in the middle of HIS BIG STORY that he wanted to tell and couldn’t interrupt it to note a remarkable play.

He was every bit the freak athlete that Lavar was and a better football player, but just didn’t have the personality that Lavar had.

I wonder wha5 he is doing these days?

Wear my Penn State shirts in the gym ,6 months Minnesota,6 months Arizona. No negatives in Minnesota. What I hear from many Iowa folks here is either Ped State,Sandusky, "Carl"buys his wrestlers. Cael will never match Gable's records. I hope we crush them at this year's whiteout. They are a nasty bunch.
I agree, after Pitt and OhowIhate, Iowa fans are about the same. No class, pęd state, and Sandusky comments.
