Off topic and not helpful for you, but I grew up going to Lambert's Barber Shop in Triangle City in West Columbia. Haircuts were $1.75 and he maintained that price for 25 years. Inflation-adjusted from the mid-80s when I was a kid,, that would be about $5 today. He was recognized by the SC State House and Senate on his retirement. It was a great old-fashioned barber shop. Old guys would just sit and chat. I remember as a kid looking around at these guys who were 90% bald and thinking "why are they even here?" Had an old-fashioned glass bottle Coca-Cola machine. One haircut style.
When I was a kid we went to the Carolina Barber shop on Devine in 5 points. It's still there and hasn't changed at all. The barbers then were Watts and Clewis.
