OT: Scholarships

The scholarship/ Grant packages thread got me wanting to brag on my oldest son for a bit. He picked up golf about two years ago in high school.
He went to work and worked his butt off getting his game better and received a full ride scholarship this fall for golf.

I couldn’t be more proud of the work ethic and dedication he has shown throughout this whole process, or the young man that he has become. If he keeps the same work ethic in college and throughout life the sky is the limit for him.

Did he play AJGA? Sneeds? What events (just in general, which states)?

Amen to that. I picked up golf two years ago when I retired. I shot a 94 yesterday and didn’t lose a ball, I celebrated !

He signed with Hinds in Raymond. The only individual tournaments he played were the junior coke tour events here in Mississippi, and he only played in a handful of those.
He plays / practices almost daily at our home course and plays a lot with me, or his grandfather.
