I have some mutual friends that went to their wedding on Sunday. It was wild to see pictures on social media of how all out the reception was.

I didn’t realize Marcus King had as big of a name until I saw a lot of publicity about the event popping up. Reading a little into his story, he appears to be a pretty respected guitarist in the Nashville community.

I hope they work out (as I hope for all new couples). She’s from NC and grew up pretty country. From what little I know I think they may have more in common than meets the eye.

Some folks have been roasting the guy online. I’m sure he’s no stranger to criticism and probably having the last laugh

Marcus King is one of the best guitarists that tours right now. If you haven't seen him, go do it. I've seen him several times over the past 4-5 years and it is great every time.

My wife has a friend that is very attractive, that has mentioned several times how if she were single she would get with him and also Post Malone... Go figure lol. Some people are attracted to the artistry, etc, and not looks.

It's true what they say...men are from mars, women are from venus.

By chance, I just stumbled on a video today of a hot chick showing her and her rather large husband. She explained that most women look for the emotional connection while guys, by nature, look for the physical attraction. She said a lot more guys could score hot chicks if they got over feeling like they themselves weren't attractive enough. I guess her takeaway was "be you and go for it. even if she's hot and you don't think you are, you might hit that emotional connection she's looking for." Now this lady seemed a bit more mature, so I'm sure she's speaking with a little wisdom and hindsight. I'm sure a lot of 20-something hot chicks are still more concerned with the external.

yeah, it definitely is interesting to consider. And I'm in no way saying Briley Hussey isn't with him for money, but I think per your OP, it's defintely not his looks lol.

Hopefully it's true love and they'll be happily married a very long time. Color me jaded though.

I'd never heard of her either. Turns out she's a low-level "influencer" on TikTok with 58,000 followers. She's also a "singer", signing the national anthem at local sporting events in NC and has a few songs on Spotify with 1,000 or so plays.

If one were skeptical, you might think she sees this as an opportunity to boost her profile.

Back 10 or 15 years ago, there were a series of books by so called "pick up artists". Those books were a trendy thing for awhile. I was and still am happily married but I read a couple of them for entertainment and curiosity (honestly!). Both of them had this exact theme. Women much more than men go for an emotional connection and a man with a heavy dose of confidence. Looks might help you get to first base but that's all.

If you want a really happy marriage marry an average girl next door type. The problem with the hot chicks is they have options. Sooner or later they're going to consider those options. And sooner or later, you're going to get tired of the diva act. I speak from experience.

My wife has a hot (for her age now, but we met 20 years ago) friend who has been married 4 times for "love." Oddly, after a couple of years she always finds something so flawed about the man she has to leave him. They all seem to have money, at least when they meet. The current guy actually tried to get me to work for his company. I feel sorry for these guys because they truly love her and she doesn't even know what love is. Hopefully, she's in a good place with this one. He keeps her on vacation. We joked that we had to hurry up and meet him before she gets rid of him.

Marcus King is a badass if you like that kind of blusey/country/rock, el dorado is a great album if you’re interested and don’t know him! He seems like a cool dude, looks aren’t everything!

It's amazing how many physically attractive women have an emotional connection to wealthy men.
