Seven Mountains Media-Forever Media Deal To Close Jan. 2.

The father-daughter $17.4 million transaction which has Seven Mountains Media acquiring 46 signals in seven Pennsylvania markets from Forever Media will close on Jan. 2, 2023. The markets involved are

Personally I don't understand how sports radio is no longer going to exist in State College.

Hmmm. is this why, when I went for the play by play with Steve and Jack, last night from the espn station, I got nothing?
I had been doing that all year for the away games and it worked fine, even had the play synced with the TV. But last night nothing.

I checked the Nittany Lions app on my phone and it appears they have it on demand. Radio rights are weird for Bowl games too.

I too listen over the app. Much better sound. Of course, you can't listen with the app while in the stadium because you can't get a wireless or network signal.

Is amazing that the cell providers don't catch more crap for that. I was at orientation this Fall and it was the same thing. It's ridiculous for the money we spend.

Unless I was hallucinating, it was still on 103.7 FM as usual which has better reception than the hamster powered 1390 & 1450 AM options in State College.

I would think that the radio agreements would run through the end of each sport’s season, so while the general station programming and location on the dials may have changed, they will probably still carry the broadcasts for the remainder of the year. Here’s the official PSU list which has not yet been updated for the State College changes.
