Horrible, Worst Ever, Who watches/listens to these people. you call that talent/ music died in the 70's

Just thought I would get that out of the way for the inevitable thread later.

Enjoy the show. Ok, a least try. Ok, just the leave the room for 20 minutes. :)

If you hate it, then it must be the greatest since Janet Jackson showed off her boobs on national boob tube..

Question nobody is asking??? Who touches women on the boobs like that anywhere... Justin must have stickum that was outlawed in the NFL...

Suppose it must be enough audience age group for these groups. Definitely not in my interest, good time for drink, food and talk trash about Joe B getting his victory cigar ready 😁

I don't understand why the Super Bowl feels the need to have a "concert" at halftime. It's the most watched program in the entire year. If you put it up against a theoretical concert by any of these artists, it would win in a landslide every time. They might as well run a sit-com at halftime.

If you want to keep viewer's attention at half-time, find one of these X-games guys who's willing to try to jump 7 school buses on his motorcycle or something.

It's not the genre of music I listen to but I am older than dirt. The NFL is appealing to the demographic that they feel is best for them. Simply a marketing move such as Nascar and the rap concert during the Clash. Advertising dollars. and audience share. For those who enjoy this genre, get you some. I will be having a beverage and a snack.

The NFL has to appease the masses and deflect from their sorry minority hiring practices. Always appear to be placating to the complainers. Giving in has worked well for the NFL. Isn't JZ an NFL higher up now?

If you were at Carolina in the 90s, you listened to Snoop, Dre, and Mary J. I don't care what you say.
EVERY last one of us knows the opening beat of "Nothin' But a G Thang".
It may not be your "genre" of music, but we've all dropped it at least once when we've heard it.

The demographic of the half-time artists is those 35-55. Pretty much any teenager/adult in the 90s knows of or have heard/listened to the SB performers. If you're not a fan you more than likely fit in the category of those always wanting Metallica, The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, or some 60s/70s rock band.
Psst... Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z don't want to hear your music either.

Yep! '94 grad here. Still love me some "Snoop Doggy Dogg" and Dr. Dre!

A lot of us in Gen X sat in Williams-Brice and watched GNR and Metallica back in September 1992.
Or sat on the Lambda Chi hall in McBryde Quad and listened to it from a friend's room window that looked South toward WB.
Or were at DV November 1989 for The Stones.

I'd venture GenX has the most widely varied tastes of music of all. My playlist goes from Bach to Duran Duran to Dre to Def Leppard to Tool, so...

How about have a normal halftime (15 minutes) for the players to rest and the coaches to implement adjustments for the second half? Why does the NFL have to throw a concert which takes 15 minutes to set up and pull back down for a 7 minute "show", when the people that have been watching all year are watching for the football? Hell, I rather see the Grambling marching band do a typical halftime performance than a bunch of criminal drug dealers that call themselves musicians. The NFL uses the Super Bowl to entertain the non-football fans who are watching because it's the thing to do. They totally disrespect the football fans with this garbage.

My children were born in the 80's. As they grew up they began to steal my cd's. (or "borrow" them might be a better term) Why? Because they thought my music was better than their friends' music. I have never been a fan of mainstream music so I admit I thought my music was better than my friends music as well.

I won`t be able to give a review of the halftime show because I definitely won`t be watching that. You can have all of them.

I am Gen X. I'd love Duran Duran in the Super Bowl. Let's be honest the ones who don't want a 90s/2k rap and hip hop are the same ones who want The Who, Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Metallica and the rest of AARP card carry golden oldies on their 5th farewell tours.

Thought halftime was when one refreshed the PJ or Bath Tub Gin?

Why so critical? Just enjoy your show.

Halftime for me is rewinding pre game and commercials so all those folks who talked during them can watch them again.

There is nothing wrong with wanting AC/DC, Metallica, etc in the Halftime either. You seem to be taking it personally that some folks just aren't into Hip Hop. It's not that big of a deal.

Is that what it was when they had rock musicians during my younger days and my dad hated it? Wow, guess I didn't realize I was complaining that much.

Since there are thousands of people who can do what these "artist" are doing, who decides that they get to be the stars?

Well Anderson Paak playing drums saved it, but I could have done without those past their prime and I’m 62!

So the NFL should have a quota for 12% in coaching or management level? Things have become completely effed up. I was born and raised color blind. I guess that’s an old fashioned concept that is dead and buried. At least it seems so on the Dem side.

A Super Bowl ticket cost $2700 today If you could find one. What generation is best able to buy tickets? Boomers? Gen X? Millennials? Gen Z? I could make a guess but it would be just that. I’d think the NFL knows and whoever it is deserves consideration when entertainment choices are made.
