Big Yay here. People that say it tastes like Pepto Bismol ate too much Pepto Bismol as a kid.

Very few places make it around NEPA. The last place, Montdale Dairy, closed their doors last year. The Creamery sells it for a brief time annually.

I can't get it in NYS. Used to be sure to sample it when I came to visit my family. Mays Drive Inn on Rt. 11 between Bloomsburg and Danville carried it. Parents and in laws are all gone now and so no trips to PA. and no teaberry ice cream. Damn. Hadn't thought about for years.

Weis Markets must have changed something in their ice cream formulation. Now it starts to crystalize after you open the container and it didn't used to do that. Teaberry was my go to flavor as a kid growing up and it still is my favorite when I can get it from a good roadside "custard stand" during the summer.

My Mom grew up in Central PA and was a huge Teaberry fan. Our family has camped at the Centre County Grange Fair for over 50 years and she always made sure to get her teaberry ice cream some time during the week. I did not acquire a taste for it.

I make my own. 8 egg yolks, 1 cup sugar, 4 cups half and half - turned into a custard and chilled. Next day put in ice cream maker w/ a tiny bit of teaberry oil and some pink food coloring if you like.
You must really love this stuff to go to all this trouble.

I'm glad you like it but ice cream that tastes like bubble gum isn't appealing to me.

It reminds me of the gum wall in Seattle. It's one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen.

Never had it, but loved teaberry gum when I was a kid so I would definitely try it if I saw it in the ice cream section. I have not had teaberry gum in God knows how long.

My second favorite after deep dish apple pie. You can get both at Gardners Candies in Tyrone. Ice cream parlor in the back. On a side note, my daughter gets me teaberry gum every Christmas. I don't chew gum at all, but I will chew teaberry as it's my favorite.

Perhaps you are confusing bubble gum ice cream with teaberry because they are both pink? I never thought teaberry tasted like bubble gum

Yes Teaberry is my Favorite ice cream. Grew up in north Pa where it could be found moved to South Central PA, and nobody ever heard of it. So when I head north I take every opportunity to get myself cone of it.
